Selling on anime.club requires a payout account. The seller's country decides which of two paths sets it up. See the countries and currencies.

Stripe Connect countries

In the US, UK, Canada, Switzerland and the EEA except Iceland, anime.club creates a Stripe Express connected account for the seller. The seller's share of completed orders reaches this account before payout to the bank.

Buyer charges are not created on this account. anime.club is the merchant of record and charges buyers on its own account; the seller account only receives the seller's share.

Onboarding uses Stripe-hosted pages reached through a one-time link from anime.club. Sellers enter identity, business, and bank information directly on those pages. Stripe decides which information is required. After onboarding, Stripe returns account status and requirements to anime.club. A seller can list products after Stripe reports that the account can receive transfers. If required information later becomes incomplete, the account may stop receiving transfers until the issue is resolved.

Sellers accept the Stripe connected account agreement during onboarding.

Stripe Identity and Wise countries

In the other supported countries, onboarding has two steps:

1. Identity. Stripe verifies the seller's government ID and a live selfie on its own page. anime.club stores only a reference to the verification. Stripe keeps the ID images and the verified name. Where the ID is not printed in Latin script, use a passport, so the verified name matches the bank account.
2. Payout method. The seller chooses where Wise pays them. Payouts only go to an account in the seller's own name, so the account name must match the name on the verified ID.
   • Bank account (default): a local bank account, paid in the local currency.
   • Wise account: the seller's own Wise account, found by Wisetag, email, or phone number, paid in USD. The account must be discoverable in Wise's privacy settings. The seller converts and withdraws from Wise whenever they like, under Wise's own terms and fees.

A seller can list products once both steps are complete.

Country

The seller chooses the country during onboarding. Changing it requires removing the payout account and starting again.
