How a payment works
最後審核:
Payment timing depends on what you buy. A commission waits for the seller to accept. A downloadable is charged at checkout so the files can be delivered.
At checkout
Checkout runs on Stripe's hosted page.
For a commission, Stripe authorizes the amount when the buyer submits the card. The buyer's bank checks the card and reserves the funds. No charge is created while the order waits for the seller.
The reserved amount may appear as pending or held on the card statement. This is an authorization, not a completed charge.
For a downloadable, Stripe captures the payment at checkout.
When a seller accepts a commission
Accepting the commission captures the full authorized amount. anime.club does not capture only part of the order.
If the seller declines or the order expires before acceptance, the authorization does not become a charge. The buyer's bank controls how long a released authorization remains visible.
How the charge is routed
The checkout session and charge are created on anime.club's Stripe account. For Stripe Connect sellers, the seller's share is transferred to their connected account after the order completes. Stripe calls this arrangement separate charges and transfers. For sellers paid through Wise, the share is recorded as a balance anime.club owes them and paid out through Wise.
This describes the payment route. It does not define the legal roles of anime.club, the buyer, and the seller.
What reduces the seller's share
Two amounts reduce the proceeds from a captured payment:
- the platform fee, a share of the order total with no fixed per-order amount
- the payment processing fee, which depends on the payment method
The order records the amounts deducted. Current fees appear on platform fee and seller countries.
Checkout may also calculate transaction tax from the buyer's location and the product category. See tax on orders.

After the seller's share reaches the seller's balance, a payout can move it to the bank. Read payouts to sellers. New sellers should start with seller onboarding.
