Tax on orders

anime.club is the merchant of record for these orders. Where anime.club has an active tax registration, checkout calculates and collects applicable transaction tax for anime.club to remit. Checkout uses Stripe Tax (service fee paid by anime.club).
This page describes checkout behavior. It does not determine a buyer's or seller's income-tax, registration, reporting, or filing obligations in any jurisdiction.
Product tax categories
New and updated products are assigned a Stripe Tax product tax code. The code identifies the category used by Stripe Tax.

A commission and a downloadable from the same seller may receive different tax treatment because one is a service and the other is a digital product.
What a buyer sees
Listed product prices exclude transaction tax. When tax applies, checkout shows it separately and adds it to the final total before payment.
The absence of a tax line does not prove that no tax obligation exists. It means checkout did not add transaction tax to that order.
What a seller should keep
Sellers can use their order and payout records when preparing their own accounts. anime.club does not currently promise an annual tax statement or determine a seller's income-tax, registration, reporting, or filing obligations.
